Feel Good Friday: HappyMaven x Improv for Business UK

Tags

Feel Good Friday is a series of bitesize online experiences held on the first Friday of each month. Meet and learn from founders of wellbeing organisations how to boost happiness hormones, spark creativity and re-energise for the day.

HappyMaven’s Chief Happiness Officer, Suki Bassi says:

“When HappyMaven held an informal & uplifting 30-minute session with our partners, Goodsted, to wrap up Mental Health Awareness Week in May this year, I found the experience simply enjoyable and fun - feelings that had been missing for a little while. Having inspiring and uplifting conversations with our guests and being able to provide them with something tangible to develop their personal, professional or community wellbeing gave me great pleasure and reminded me why I do the work that I do.

I believe this combination of bitesize sessions, pertinent topics, stimulating guest speakers and two-way conversations make for a memorable and valuable experience - personally and professionally. And so to continue to share this with our amazing HappyMaven tribe the idea for a monthly #FeelGoodFriday event was born!”

Watch along to HappyMaven and comedian and creator of Improv for Business UK, Charlie Vero-Martin, who creates live environments where people can embrace their spontaneous flair with creative thinking, teamwork and a dash of silliness for #FeelGoodFriday this month.

Charlie says:

“Practicing improv is about giving yourself a toolbox so that you can take on whatever situation is thrown at you and also help support those around you to do the same.”

Our Guest, Charlie Vero-Martin, Creator and Coach at Improv for Business UK:

As an improviser, comedian and actor Charlie has worked with the BBC, Griff Rhys Jones and performed regularly at the Edinburgh Fringe and throughout the UK. But before that, Charlie was a Communications Manager and Trainer in the tech and media world.

Having been an improviser for over ten years, it was clear to Charlie that the corporate environment in the UK had so much to learn about effective communication and engagement.

The US have been incorporating improv skills into corporate training for decades and I look forward to sharing these secrets with you.

Join us to discover Charlie's unique founder story and how Improv for Business UK's approach to communication, comedy and community can help businesses deliver effective team-building and boost employee wellbeing alongside building confidence, carisma and quick thinking skills!

Watch this short 30-minute mood-booster and learn how the principles of improv can help to shape new ways of thinking and how to approach situations creatively by creating unique, memorable moments.
